Since earning her medical degree in 2004, she has practised medicine across multiple countries, including Australia, where she has become a trusted and respected figure in healthcare.

Dr Shaimaa has worked in various capacities as a Career Medical Officer (CMO) across different departments at local hospitals in Newcastle, Australia, such as:

• General Medicine and Medical Oncology at Calvary Mater Hospital

• Emergency Medicine at John Hunter Hospital and Tomaree Hospital
